The floor numbers in the elevator are tactile, and the button for the exit floor is distinguishable from the others. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible elevator are 1.1 meters in width and 1.4 meters in depth.) The drop-off point for passenger traffic is located near the entrance (within 5 meters), allowing smooth access to the entrance. The route to the entrance is signposted, level, sufficiently wide, and well-lit.
Main Entrance:
The entrance is clearly distinguishable and well-lit. The entrance doors are clearly distinguishable and have contrast markings on the glass. There is ample free space outside the door for maneuvering, e.g., with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.
Entrance “Merikarhunkuja 5”:
The route to the entrance is level, sufficiently wide, well-lit, and has tactile guiding surfaces. There is a steep slope on the route. The entrance is clearly distinguishable and well-lit. The entrance doors are clearly distinguishable and have contrast markings on the glass. There is ample free space outside the door for maneuvering, e.g., with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a push button. There are thresholds over 2 cm high at the entrance. The service point is located on the same floor as this entrance. Staff will open the accessible restroom.
Interior:
The service point is located on the 3rd floor. Staff will open the accessible restroom. There is an elevator that can accommodate a wheelchair and has a door that opens automatically.
