Description
Intersex Pride Flag, measuring 150 x 90cm.
It’s made of durable polyester and is equipped with a reinforced edge strip for easy display. Due to its size, this flag is perfect to use as a parade banner.
In 2013, the intersex flag was designed by Morgan Carpenter for the Intersex Human Rights Australia organization, but it is intended for free use by all intersex individuals and organizations.
The intersex pride flag was designed to be something entirely new, yet still carry significant meaning; it was not intended to be merely derivative of existing symbols. Carpenter chose yellow and purple as the colors because they are seen not having specific gender associations. The circle on the intersex flag is unbroken and unadorned, representing wholeness, completeness, and the endless potential of minorities. The flag communicates self-determination and autonomy.
The intersex pride flag was incorporated to the progressive rainbow flag designed by Valentino Vecchietti in 2021, which can also be found in our flag selection.
