The Life and Death
Miradonna Sirkka and Sofi Häkkinen’s performance art piece “The Life and Death” brings together elements of DJ & VJ gigs, the hypersexualization afab bodies, and having grown up in the 00’s. The performance is a criticism of hetero- and mono-normativity, along with capitalistic perfectionism. Queerdos Häkkinen and Sirkka build a shared moment of fun, weirdness, love and tears – simultaneously satirizing the coolness associated with club culture. They poured everything into this artwork: the frustration, joy, sex, humor, broken hearts and other nasty shit from their souls. ;)
