Ei-binääristen vanhempien päivänä juhlistetaan kaikkia vanhempia, jotka elävät binäärin ulkopuolella ❤️ Perheitä on monenlaisia – ja niin on vanhemmuuttakin. Kaikille perinteiset vanhemmuuden termit, kuten äiti tai isä, eivät tunnu omilta. Siksi ei-binääristen vanhempien päivä on tärkeä juhla: se nostaa esiin vanhemmuuden moninaisuuden ja antaa tilaa jokaiselle olla vanhempi omalla tavallaan. Tämä päivä muistuttaa meitä myös pysähtymään ja tarkastelemaan totuttuja käsityksiämme vanhemmuudesta – ja siitä, millaisia sanoja siihen liitämme. Kun jätämme oletukset taakse ja suhtaudumme avoimesti erilaisiin perhemuotoihin, teemme tilaa maailmalle, jossa jokainen saa tulla kohdatuksi omana itsenään. Suomen kieli tarjoaa upeita, sukupuolineutraaleja vaihtoehtoja, kuten vanhempi. Keksitkö sinä lisää sanoja, joilla voisimme puhua vanhemmuudesta ilman sukupuolioletuksia? Juhlitaan yhdessä kaikkia vanhempia – juuri sellaisina kuin he ovat. 🌈 ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍 On Nonbinary Parents' Day, we celebrate all parents who live outside the binary ❤️ Families come in many forms – and so does parenting. Traditional parenting terms like mother or father don't feel right for everyone. That's why Nonbinary Parents' Day is such an important celebration: it highlights the diversity of parenthood and creates space for everyone to be a parent in their own way. This day also invites us to reflect on our assumptions about parenting – and the words we use to describe it. When we let go of assumptions and approach different kinds of families with openness, we help create a world where everyone can be seen as who they truly are. The Finnish language offers beautiful gender-neutral terms, such as vanhempi ("parent"). Can you think of more words we could use to talk about parenting without gendered assumptions?
