Open Call for Program: Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply

You can apply to be included in the official Helsinki Pride program calendar through the open call. Through the open call, individuals — such as artists, working groups, and art collectives — can submit their own events to the official program calendar. This means that organisations and companies cannot apply through this open call. If you have a Business ID, please apply as a program organizer through Helsinki Pride partnership options.

If the organising entity is a non-profit, public-benefit organisation, you should apply for a community partnership to include your event in the official program.

If the event organiser is a company (with an annual turnover or balance sheet total of up to 2 million euros), you should apply for a Small Business partnership to be included in the official program calendar.

Please note that the Helsinki Pride Community curates the official program. We may decide not to approve or publish event content if it does not meet accessibility criteria, conflicts with the purpose of the program, or is otherwise unsuitable.

Events are submitted through a separate application form, which you can find at the end of this page. We review applications during the application period. The program calendar will be published on May 22.

Event Accessibility

The Helsinki Pride Community aims to make events as accessible and inclusive as possible. For us, accessibility means recognising and respecting diversity. It is a key part of inclusivity and helps ensure that everyone feels welcome and respected as their authentic selves. This year, the official program calendar has a stronger focus on accessibility. To be included, events must be LGBTQIA+ themed and also accessible.

Events accepted into the Helsinki Pride 2026 official program calendar must meet the following accessibility criteria:

There is space for drop-off traffic in front of the venue.

The route to the entrance is accessible.

The entrance to the event space is accessible.

The route within the venue is accessible, and participants can move around and take part without barriers.

An accessible toilet is available at the venue.

In addition, we ask organizers to provide more details about accessibility.

Where and when you can organise program

We encourage you to organise events throughout the entire Pride Month, as this helps you reach more participants. Pride Week is the most popular time, and there is usually a wide range of events.

When choosing a venue, make sure it is accessible. Accessibility is required for inclusion in the program calendar this year.

You can apply for a venue for your program at Pride House, which this year is located at HoBo Helsinki (Kluuvikatu 4). Please note that Helsinki Pride cannot guarantee space for your program at Pride House.

Communicating about events

We aim to communicate program calendar events as equally as possible and highlight selected events on our social media channels. We use the information you provide in the submission form, so a clear and engaging description will improve your chances of being featured.

Unfortunately, we cannot promote all events, so it is important that you also promote your event through your own channels.

How to apply

How to fill out the application form

Please complete the form carefully and only when you have all the required information. We want the program calendar to be as informative as possible for visitors. For this reason, you must answer every question in the form. To ensure fair treatment, we do not publish programs that are incomplete or incorrectly filled in. We also do not accept additional information via email or phone.

In the application form, you are asked to provide detailed information about your event (title, date and time, venue, target audience, type of event, description, and accessibility information). The title and description should be written in the main language of the event.

We process applications in the order they are received and may make decisions during the application period. Only applications with all required fields completed will be processed. If you are planning multiple events, please submit each one using a separate form. We do not include incomplete applications in the program calendar.

If you are interested in organising an event at Pride House, the application deadline is May 15, 2026. Please note that we cannot guarantee space at Pride House. Program curation will begin during the application period.
