Helsinki Pride is Finland’s largest and most influential human rights and cultural event and it wouldn’t be as vibrant and spectacular without our volunteers. Pride Month is celebrated in Helsinki throughout June and volunteers can participate in various tasks during the entire month. Most volunteer shifts occur during Helsinki Pride Week 22.-28.6.2026. Shifts approximately last between 4-6 hours and you can do the amount of shifts that suits you the best. We ask all volunteers to commit to their shifts. The volunteer team of Helsinki Pride operates in both English and Finnish.
The volunteer application is open 1.4.-15.5. Please note that the application for lead volunteer closes a bit earlier, on 8.5. We will go through the applications during the application period and will contact all applicants during week 21 at the latest. We’ll be shortly interviewing all lead volunteer applicants during weeks 19-21.
All volunteers will be trained for their specific tasks and roles. We will organize a kick-off event for our volunteers on 3.6. at Helsinki. You can also participate remotely. We strongly recommend everyone to attend and attending is mandatory for lead volunteers.
For more information about volunteering at Helsinki Pride or the volunteer application process, please contact the volunteer coordinator Aleksi Nerola (aleksi@pride.fi).
