Päivän tavoitteena on lisätä tietoa ja purkaa ennakkoluuloja: 🩷 Biseksuaali kokee seksuaalista ja/tai emotionaalista vetovoimaa sekä samaa että eri sukupuolta olevia kohtaan. 💜 Joillekin vetovoiman kohteen sukupuolella ei ole merkitystä. Termit biseksuaalisuus ja panseksuaalisuus ovat osittain päällekkäisiä. 💙 Jokaisella on oikeus itsemäärittelyyn tai - määrittelemättömyyteen. Tiesitkö, että biseksuaalisuus on monissa maissa edelleen peruste syrjinnälle siinä missä muukin sateenkaarevuus? ❤️‍🩹 Helsinki Pride -yhteisön Together with Pride -työssä näemme vuosittain tilanteita, joissa turvapaikanhakijan biseksuaalisuutta ei nähdä riittävänä perusteena turvapaikalle- vaikka palauttaminen kotimaahan olisi hengenvaarallista. 💖✨ Epäkohdista huolimatta kannustamme jokaista myös iloitsemaan omasta identiteetistä! Bi-näkyvyyden päivää on vietetty jo vuodesta 1999 – tehdään yhdessä töitä kohti tulevaisuutta, jossa kukaan ei joudu salaamaan seksuaalista suuntautumistaan ja kokemaan syrjintää, häirintää ja ennakkoluuloja. *** Wishing you a powerful #BisexualVisibilityDay! The goal of this day is to raise awareness and challenge prejudice: 🩷 A bisexual experiences sexual and/or emotional attraction to people of the same and different genders. 💜 For some, the gender of the person they are attracted to doesn’t matter. The terms bisexuality and pansexuality partly overlap. 💙 Everyone has the right to self-identify – or not to define themselves at all. Did you know that in many countries, bisexuality is still a reason for discrimination, just like other forms of LGBTQIA+ identities? ❤️‍🩹 In our Together with Pride work, we witness situations every year where an asylum seeker's bisexuality is not considered a sufficient reason for granting asylum – even when returning to their home country would be life-threatening. 💖✨ Despite the injustice, we encourage everyone to also celebrate their identity!
