Park Celebration in Kaivopuisto, Helsinki

We are happy for the opportunity to come together again to conclude the Saturday of Pride Week with the traditional park celebration at Kaivopuisto in Helsinki.

The sense of community remaining at the center of Pride Week is of the utmost importance to us even though the event and the amount of participants has grown during previous years. People make the party so we want to keep the Pride Week programme free thus making it possible for anyone to join the Pride Week celebrations.

While the event keeps growing, we want to guarantee that the ability for interaction remains and that our community has an opportunity for low-threshold encounters.

Below you can find the park celebration map in its entirety.

You can fill your own water bottles at Kaivopuisto's water points.

Cleaning and Recycling

The area of the park celebration will have sanitary facilities as well as two water station areas for hand washing and filling of water bottles. There will be trash cans which we hope will be used by everyone for their trash. Please be mindful that bio-, mixed, and glass waste are all put in the right trash cans. You can find the locations on the map.

Let’s keep the park clean and cozy during the celebration. This will also help the Helsinki Pride cleaning crew! ❤️

After the event, the park will be cleaned by professionals as well. Cleaning starts 2nd July Sunday morning at 6 am.

The park has four separate WC areas, all of which will have accessible toilets marked. The area will have a total of 14 accessible toilets.

Iso Puistotie will be closed to traffic for the time of the celebration but will be open as an accessible way to arrive at the front of Kaivohuone.
