Park Festival in Kaivopuisto

We are happy to gather together again for the traditional Park Festival in Kaivopuisto! This event will wrap up Helsinki Pride week on Saturday, June 27th, from 1 PM to 9.

Preserving our strong sense of community is incredibly important to us. Even though the festival has grown significantly over the years, it is the people who make it truly special. That is why we want to keep the Park Festival program free of charge—so that everyone has the opportunity to celebrate Helsinki Pride week together.

As the event continues to grow, we remain committed to keeping it interactive and providing welcoming, low-threshold spaces for our community to meet and connect.

Helsinki Pride Park Festival accessibility information

Arrival

The main entrance to the park festival is on Neitsytpolku. At the entrance on Neitsytpolku there is a sound beacon that plays the familiar sound of birdsong and tells the name of the place in words.

For safety reasons, a diversion has been put in place on the streets surrounding Kaivopuisto. Leaving your car on the street is at your own risk, even if you have a disability permit. We encourage everyone, including disabled people, to arrive by taxi.

When arriving by taxi, please note that Iso Puistotie is closed to traffic during the event. Escort traffic may arrive in the area and drop off passengers in the horseshoe-shaped parking lot on Ehrenströmintie (near Café Ursula). Unfortunately, it is not possible to leave your own cars in the parking lot and cars without a permit will be removed at the expense of the car owner.

For more information and questions: johanna@pride.fi.

From the parking lot to Iso Puistotie, a sound beacon guides you, playing the familiar sound of birdsong and speaking the name of the place. From the parking lot, there is a direct connection via Iso Puistotie to the event area and the most important places of the Park Festival, such as the performance stage.

Getting around at the Park Festival

The Park Festival area in Kaivopuisto is basically flat and easy to walk around. The area has flat walkways that lead to the various activities and points of the Park Festival. The walkways are dirt roads. There are a few cable channels in the park on the walkways. These are approximately 5 cm high. In the event of rain, the grassy areas in the park can be a bit sinking and slippery.

The park has five separate toilet areas, each with separately marked accessible restrooms. There are a total of eight accessible restrooms in the area, which are marked on the map. A toilet pass is required. In addition to the park benches, there are points in the area provided by our partners, where a limited number of seats with chairs are available. In addition, there are seats for diners in the food area.

The Park Festival Stage

A barrier-free grandstand is located next to the main stage, which can be used by people who need it if they wish. The use of the barrier-free grandstand is completely voluntary, and the program can also be followed from other places in the event area according to your wishes. The security guards have been instructed about this. A possible assistant can be included in the barrier-free grandstand if necessary.

Quiet area at the Park Festival

The Park Festival has a quiet recovery room for those who need a safe place to recover from acute sensory and other overload. You can sit in the quiet area to rest and recover from the load.

Volunteers are on site to guide the use of the space, but they will not make contact unless necessary. If necessary, a volunteer can also help you get out of the Park Festival completely.

The quiet area is non-smoking.
